Principal’s Message

Dear Aspire College Academy Parents,

I hope you are all enjoying your summer. The new school year will be here before we know it. The first day of school is Monday, August 8th. In preparation for the start of the school-year, our office staff is hosting registration office hours August 1st – 5th from 12:30pm – 3:30pm. We are also hosting a Staff Meet & Greet on Thursday, August 4th, 4pm – 6pm.

I write this letter to welcome all parents and students back to the 2022-23 school-year. The 2022-23 school-year is sure to be a fantastic year. My name is Brian White. I am proud to announce that I am the new principal at Aspire College Academy. I am aware that ACA has had its fair share of leaders over the past couple years, but I plan to grow deep roots in this community and remain a Jaguar for a long time. We are excited to announce that ACA students demonstrated a lot of academic and socio-emotional growth during the 2021-22 school-year. We have been working hard all summer planning curriculum, programs, assemblies and other fun activities to build upon the momentum of last year’s growth and make this school year the best ever for OUR children.

The ACA staff is primed to soar into the school year. We promise to be dedicated to the pursuit of uplifting our community, building confidence in our students and developing a culture of success on campus – living by our Mission & Vision… “To increase the academic performance of students who are traditionally underserved and to ensure EVERY student is prepared to earn a college degree.” We, at ACA, want to create a socially and academically responsive environment that encourages life-long learning in our staff and students. The ACA staff is committed to Aspire’s vision that all students will be prepared, challenged and motivated in a 21st century learning environment that develops the physical, intellectual and emotional success of all learners. At Aspire College Academy, our philosophy and academic program is designed to meet the needs of each and every student within our community, so that they can “become critical thinkers in a safe, respectful and supportive environment to thrive within a global community.

Aspire College Academy will strive to be a pillar of strength in our community. We want excellence for our students and would like to provide as much support for our families as possible. We plan to 1) to become the highest performing public school in East Oakland, 2) surround our students and families with the support necessary to be successful, and 3) continue to build school spirit.

The ACA staff is committed to fostering healthy relationships with our parents.  In 2022-23, it will take parents and teachers working together to ensure OUR students reach their full potential. It has been proven that parent involvement is the most important factor in student success in school. It has also been proven that good attendance leads to improved classroom performance. Parents, please remember good attendance is important to high student achievement. Please support us in making sure your student is at school daily.

My goal is for Aspire College Academy to be the Crown Jewel of East Oakland. A beacon in the community. I know we have everything we need from highly-skilled teachers, to supportive parents, to motivated students to surpass all of my lofty expectations for OUR school.

I wish you all the best in this upcoming year. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you soon.

Go Jaguars,

Brian White
Principal
