Alumni
Since our founding in 1998, it is our goal that in partnership with Aspire students, families, and teammates, we prepare and empower scholars to explore and select post-secondary programs that align with their passions and culminate with a smooth transition to a career of his or her choosing.
Did you know?
67% of students in *2020 matriculated to a 2 or 4-year college
*Due to the lasting impacts of COVID-19, the matriculation rate is lower than in prior years. The rate will be updated soon to reflect the current matriculation of our scholars.
Over 180 Colleges attended by our Alumni!
Our process:
Aspire Specific Scholarships
Our alumni have shared yearly that finances are the number one concern when persisting in college. Aspire has offered over 40 scholarships so scholars can continue to focus on their education.
Aspire Shining Stars – This scholarship recognizes one graduating senior from each of our 9 Aspire high school campuses for being active in their school community, tenacious, and persistent.
Changing the Odds – Created in 2009 to honor Aspire’s founder, Don Shalvey, the award recognizes alumni who – like Don – are the first in their families to graduate from college, and give back to their communities. Three winners are selected each year across our three regions.
Senior Support Scholarship – Started in 2018, this scholarship recognizes Aspire high school graduating seniors for their resilience and dedication to pursuing a fulfilling future.
