Aspire Titan Academy

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Families,

Welcome to Aspire Titan Academy! I am excited to begin my second year as Principal at Titan and my 13th year in education. It is an honor to continue serving this incredible community in the beautiful city of Huntington Park! 

We know that preparing students for the future takes all of us working together. Through strong partnerships with families, rigorous and engaging academics, anti-racist and culturally responsive practices, positive behavior supports (PBIS), expanded learning opportunities, and family workshops, we will continue creating opportunities for every student to succeed. Our goal is not only to help students achieve academic excellence, but to develop the confidence, critical thinking, and leadership skills they need to accomplish their dreams and become the future leaders of our communities.

As a son of undocumented immigrants and someone who grew up low-income, I know that there are challenges that our communities face, and I also know that our communities are loving spaces that are filled with dreams and hopes. Growing up, my schools too often felt like spaces that sought to strip my culture and limit my dreams and the dreams of my communities. 

As a leader, I believe schools must be more than places where students learn academics—they must be places where every child and family feels safe, valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. My commitment is to continue building a school community where students are challenged academically, celebrated for who they are, and surrounded by caring adults who believe in their potential.

We know that preparing students for the future takes all of us working together, and we look forward to our collaboration. This year is the Year of Literacy at Aspire Los Angeles, and we will be focused on reading, and we are excited to focus and grow our students as readers! We will hold family literacy workshops, book giveaways, reading competitions, and we will ask families to support by reading every night. We are so excited to build our community of readers and writers!
