Additionally, in order to encourage and support stakeholder involvement, each school’s website contains the following information in both Spanish and English:

  • Timely notices of board meetings and other school committee meetings that involve parents.
  • Meetings held/interpreted in Spanish and English.
  • Opportunities to share thoughts and opinions through email and ParentSquare, the interactive parent communication platform used by the school.
  • Short summaries of issues, ideas, and decisions of school committees.
  • At least two opportunities for parents to give detailed input on the Local Control Accountability Plan.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to volunteer at our school, however, parental involvement is not a requirement for acceptance to, or continued enrollment at, the charter school.

Principal’s Message

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are excited to be back. We have a lot of new activities and learning opportunities this year and we are looking forward to the upcoming school year!

We are required to provide annual notification to parents and/or guardians of certain rights and obligations established by federal and state laws. This packet may appear long and cumbersome, however, I urge you to become familiar with the major topics included in our packet and to retain the information for future reference.

The law requires that you sign this notification and return it to us by the end of the meeting today. Your signature on the “Parent Notification Form” is only an acknowledgement of your receipt of the notification.  It does not signify your consent to any of the activities or your withholding of consent.

Thank you for taking the time to complete all of the documents. Once again, welcome back and I look forward to a terrific school year!

Sincerely,

Leilani Lafaurie
Principal, Aspire Titan Academy
