Dear Aspire Pacific Academy Families and Community,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! We are thrilled to welcome our scholars back for another exciting year of learning, growth, and community-building.

When I joined the APA community two years ago, I committed to being here for the long haul—to strengthen what was already working and to collaborate on areas in need of growth. Today, I’m proud of the incredible progress we’ve made together. The 2024–2025 school year was filled with meaningful accomplishments. Some highlights include:

  • 164 collective college acceptances to four-year colleges and universities
  • Increased passing rates on Advanced Placement exams
  • Growth in SBAC proficiency in both English Language Arts and Math
  • Improved English language proficiency across grade levels
  • Higher average daily attendance and a decrease in chronic absenteeism
  • Reduced suspension rates
  • Sustained high graduation rates and continued progress in college and career readiness

These achievements reflect the resilience, dedication, and collaboration of our entire school community.
As we look ahead, we are focusing on three key priorities that will guide our work this year:

1. School Culture: With new additions to our Leadership Team and staff, we are expanding programs that promote a positive and inclusive school culture. We want scholars to be excited to come to school each day—fully engaged in both academics and the extracurricular experiences that build connection and pride in our community.
2. Student Learning: With high teacher and staff retention, we’re deepening relationships and continuing to provide high-quality instruction in every classroom. This year, we are placing a special emphasis on culturally responsive education to ensure that each scholar receives the support, representation, and opportunities they need to thrive.
3. Live Like a PUMA: Our school-wide motto this year is: Live Like a PUMA — Pride, Unity, Motivation, and Achievement. We are encouraging scholars to:

  • Take pride in their identities, cultures, and communities
  • Build unity within APA and be advocates for themselves and others
  • Stay motivated by exploring their interests and preparing for their futures
  • Celebrate achievement, big and small, and take ownership of their growth

We are excited and optimistic about what this year holds. Together, we will continue to build a school where every scholar feels valued, supported, and inspired.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” – African proverb

Let’s continue to go far,

Jaime Hahn,
