Principal’s Message

Hello Aspire Centennial Community!

I have been serving the Huntington Park Community since 2013, Centennial specifically as teacher, an intervention specialist, assistant principal, and now as a principal. I invite all families to our School-Site Council (SSC) as well as family meetings as we discussed various topics to better support our scholar’s academic and social-emotional growth.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any wondering questions in regard to our school and community.

A little more information about me: I have a big family with nine
siblings and eleven nieces and nephews, with whom I try to spend a lot of time. When I am not working, I like to spend some time with family and friends, relaxing and trying to cook various recipes.

One quote that really connects with me: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela. I feel that the greatest gift we as educators, parents, and family members, can give to today’s youth is education. It is with education that we can inspire today’s youth to change the world for the better.

Yours in Service,
Mike McCoy, Principal of Aspire Centennial
