Scholar and Family Resources

We are prepared and excited to welcome students back to campus this school year!

Please review the available resources and information shown and contact your school for further support if needed.

Regional Resources Pages
Each of the regional pages, located within the left sidebar, catalogs community resources to help navigate current circumstances in and out of the classroom. We will update region-specific information as frequently as needed in order to provide the details our families need.

Expanded Learning Program
Aspire’s Expanded Learning programs (ExL) are crafted in alignment with our organizational vision and mission. Our programs combine rigorous instruction with hands-on activities, academic support, and social-emotional learning in after-school programming. It aims to develop students’ confidence and fluency in the material they learn during the day, while also fostering social-emotional learning and more.

Learn about our overall program plan here or contact your school’s admin for additional information. Obtenga información sobre nuestro plan de programa de aprendizaje ampliado aquí o comuníquese con el administrador de su escuela para obtener información adicional.

ExL Grant Announcements:
Aspire schools (Ollin Prep, Pacific Prep, Gateway, Firestone, Golden State Prep, Lionel Wilson Prep, Richmond Ca. Prep, Alexander Twilight Secondary, Ben Holt Prep, Langston Hughes, and Vanguard Prep) are excited to announce partnerships with Woodcraft Rangers and Nzinga Incorporated for ASSETs and 21st Century applications. If successful, these awards will enable us to deliver a comprehensive expanded learning program to students.

Mental Health Support
To help our students become better prepared to thrive, we provide a variety of mental health, counseling, referral, and social and emotional programs and supports across all of our schools. See the resource below for general coping strategies, crisis support lines and more.

Mental Health Support

If you are in crisis, please seek immediate help. If you or someone you know is suicidal or in emotional distress, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting  988 or going to 988lifeline.org. Trained crisis workers are available to talk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your confidential and toll-free call goes to the nearest crisis center in the Lifeline national network. These centers provide crisis counseling and mental health referrals.

Independent Study Hub
In-person learning is the best approach for student successstudy after study backs this up. State data and guidance, family support, and our experiences serving scholars in-person as we witness their renewed Bienestar (Well-being) – continue to affirm this decision.

Within our schools, there is greater joy and community, high-quality academic and social-emotional experiences and development for scholars, and a safe learning environment that follows the latest public health guidance.

While it is our strong preference that all scholars return for in-person learning, we recognize that some of our families may need alternative options. For those families, we recommend reaching out to your school’s office to learn more about Independent Study programming in your region.

The Independent Study Hub will serve as a home base for an array of resources for scholars and families that will help guide this brand-new learning experience. If you have not yet had a one-on-one conversation with your school about your intent to have your child continue learning through IS, please reach out immediately to your school’s office.
