Principal’s Message

Welcome to another fabulous year with Vincent Shalvey Academy, and a special welcome to our new families joining us this year.  This will be my 13th year with Aspire.  It is with gratitude and humility that I serve as Principal here at Vincent Shalvey Academy. I believe EVERY scholar is brilliant, talented, and capable of achieving great things.

As we move into the 2025-2026 school year, I am looking forward to implementing our school site goals, which are:
1. Ensuring all scholars are meaningfully engaged in rigorous, standards-aligned, culturally responsive academic programming
2. Cultivating communities that foster inclusive, joyful, and safe learning environments
3. Ensuring all scholars have access to a team of diverse, effective, and thriving professionals who are developed and supported to show up as their best and enact culturally responsive practices

An important part of that is to have your children in school EVERY SINGLE DAY. We will be serious about attendance and will be committed to having students at school and on time.

Education is like a 3-legged stool with each leg representing family, student, and school.  Without all three legs working together, the stool will topple. I look forward to collaborating together to make sure that each of our scholars reaches their full potential!

With Appreciation,
Danessa Partin
