Shaniquea Alrich
Dean of StudentsBio
Ms. Aldrich is driven to help students and families overcome barriers that not only impact education, but their lives. Her classroom learning environment promotes fun, growth, life skills and a sense of family. She holds a master’s degree in Public administration (2012) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communication (2010) from Texas Southern University.
Ms. Aldrich educational pathway has included elementary to high school including a nontraditional school working with students who were incarcerated. She had the district honor of being one of the first teachers in Santa Clara County to have a class of graduating students who were incarcerated. Over her ten years in education, she has provided leading numbers for districts for state tests, math programs and interventions for struggling students, developed curriculum for Social Emotional Learning (SEL), leading teachers in instructional practices and effectiveness and becoming a dean.
She has dedicated herself to advocacy, education and learning. She is the founder of a non-profit called Pearls of Proverbs, volunteers annually and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Spending time with family, exploring the world and going to concerts and sporting events are some of my favorite activities.
