Lourdes Meraz

Lourdes is a first generation college graduate. She is the daughter of immigrants who came from Mexico to the United States in pursuit of better opportunities.

Lourdes attended the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN and received her Bachelors in Sociology and Latino Studies. She received her Masters of Education from the University of Loyola Marymount and her Masters of Administration from California State University, Fullerton. 

She will begin her 14th year in education as the newly appointed Principal for Aspire Titan Academy. Lourdes helped found Titan Academy in 2009 as a classroom teacher for 10 years. She was the Dean of Instruction for 2 years, and last year was the Assistant Principal. 

Lourdes has a deep passion for education and ensuring that all students have access to an equitable and just education so that they may fulfill their personal dreams.
