Javier Cabra Walteros

Javier Cabra Walteros is the Executive Director of Aspire Public Schools Bay Area, entering his 17th year with the organization. Over the past two decades, he has served in a variety of roles, including teacher, principal, and Associate Superintendent, previously leading the Los Angeles region.  He also had the pleasure of leading Envision Education as Chief Academic Officer during the COVID-19 pandemic years. With Aspire, he has supported school communities across East Palo Alto, Oakland, and Richmond, with a focus on equity, leadership development, and culturally responsive practices. Javier now leads the Bay Area region’s strategic initiatives as ED. He looks forward to the 2025–2026 school year and continuing to bring more resources to teachers, leaders, and students.
