Expanded Learning Site Director

Bio

I was born and raised in Sacramento, California. I attended California State University, Chico, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development with a minor in Psychology. I am a first-generation college student who experiences and understands the struggles and inequalities that minorities tend to encounter in the educational system. I believe it’s important for all educators to provide a safe and positive learning environment for all scholars. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to return to my hometown and work at a school that values the community but overall, the success of each individual scholar.

I started at Capitol Heights Academy in 2019 as an After-School Educator. I have learned so much these past few years, and I am ready to take the role of Director of the Expanded Learning Program. I am excited to implement a new curriculum and continue the great work we do at Capitol Heights Academy. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, being outdoors, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
