Evangelina Rios Luna

Evangelina Rios-Luna is ASSA’s lead teacher. She teaches 8th grade English & AVID. Evangelina began her teaching career as a resident teacher at Aspire Langston Hughes Academy in 2015. Evangelina holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in Education from the University of the Pacific.

 It is a personal goal of hers to make sure every scholar enjoys their learning experience while they are in her classroom. Evangelina wants every student of hers to strengthen their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills which will prepare them for high school and beyond. 

Evangelina lives in Stockton but makes frequent trips to Sacramento to visit her family. For fun, she likes to read, bullet journal, attend concerts, go to thrift stores, and cook new recipes.
