Bio

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. It’s where I started my educational journey. I worked with various elementary schools throughout the Los Angeles area, teaching violence prevention through cooperative gaming. It is here where I found my passion for education. I worked with an AmeriCorps program focused on fostering peace and collaboration in schools before moving to the Bay Area to continue my work in education as a middle school history teacher and PE teacher. After about 2 years as a middle school teacher, I moved into high school, where I became a 10th-grade history teacher and mentor. It’s in this part of my journey that I became not just a mentor to students but a mentor to new teachers, when I was asked to help coach a new teacher! As I continued my passion for supporting student development, I found another passion in fostering teacher growth. In becoming an instructional coach, I had the privilege to support new teacher explore their passion in education while providing a pathway for development and sustainability.
