Shantise Fields has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, a Minor in Africana Studies, and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She is a licensed practitioner through the Board of Behavioral Sciences and owner and primary therapist for a thriving private practice, Speak Truth Therapeutic Services, located in Harbor City, California. Shantise has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field working with “High Risk/High Need” adults, adolescents, young adults, and their families. She has worked with Legal Entities, Community-Based Agencies, Non-Profits, Department of Mental Health, Department of Children and Family Services, Probation, and was Chief Director of three Short-Term Rehabilitation Treatment Programs located in South Los Angeles. While engaging in community work with the aforementioned agencies, Shantise and Speak Truth Therapeutic Services have become an active affiliate of the African American Advisory Board for the District Attorney’s Office, Los Angeles. Shantise has certifications in Evidence-Based Practices, including TF-CBT, MAP, and other treatment modalities. Shantise also has experience working with CSEC populations, Trauma-Informed Care Practices, Cultural Competency, Education Rights, PBIS, Collaborative Practices & Solutions, and a plethora of extended tools gained in her school, community volunteering, and work experiences.
