Dr. Sue Jin Kim brings over 15 years of experience in education, with roles spanning K-5 classroom teaching, site and district administration, directing community-based programs, serving as a school board member, curriculum writing, and working as an educational consultant. She earned her Bachelor’s in Anthropology from UCLA before completing a Master’s in Teaching and a Doctorate in Education at the University of Southern California (USC). In addition to her current role as Assistant Principal at AMLA, Sue Jin serves as part-time faculty at USC’s Rossier School of Education. She began her journey in education as a Visual and Performing Arts teacher and after-school educator at AMLA 18 years ago and is delighted to return to continue supporting the AMLA community.
