Marco “Mark” Salazar serves as the Aspire Central Valley Regional Director of Operations, bringing nearly a decade of service since joining Aspire in 2016. With a diverse background that spans roles from high school math teacher to Chief Business Officer, Mark draws on deep operational expertise to support 16 Aspire schools across Sacramento, Stockton, and Modesto. Mark earned a Bachelor’s Degree from San Jose State University in Pure Theoretical Mathematics, with formal training in Linear Transformations of Abstract Vector Spaces. Mark also earned a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Business Operations from West Texas A&M University, a Double Master’s of Science in Finance and Economics (MSFE) from West Texas A&M University, a third Master’s in Accountancy from Southern Utah University (SUU), and Mark is currently studying for the exams to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Mark earned a Chief Business Officer (CBO) Certificate and e-Certification License (#1130317) from the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) and a California Broker’s License (#01817536) from the State of California, Department of Real Estate. Mark is driven by a strong belief in the power of education and is inspired every day by Aspire’s mission to help students attend college and beyond.
