Leslie Renee

Assistant Principal

Bio

My name is Leslie Renee. I serve as the Assistant Principal at BHA. My job is to ensure that the students in 10-12th grade receive the best educational experience possible so that they can succeed in college and in life. I also serve as the administrative support person for Special Education and 504 Plans.

I have three awesome children, who are now adults, and four delightful grandchildren.
I was the first female in my family to graduate from college. I have been a lifelong learner, earning my first degree, an AA in Social Sciences at Chabot College in Hayward, and then my BA in Human Spirituality at CSUEB. I earned my teaching credential at the College of Holy Names in Oakland. Later, I earned an M.S. Ed. from Walden University, and then a doctoral degree, Ed. S. in Leadership of Curriculum and Instruction, from the University of Phoenix. I also hold an Administrative Services Credential.

During the course of my career, I taught English Language Arts and Social Studies to secondary students of all grade levels until 2015. I then served as an Assistant Principal, a Regional Instructional Coach for Humanities at Aspire Central Valley, and then a Dean of Instruction at BHA. I also taught online teacher education courses at the University of Phoenix for five years.

When I am not working, I ride my horses or play golf. I am so proud to be a member of this educational community, and to work toward College for Certain for all of our students!
