Bio

Carrie brings 25 years of experience in education as a seasoned teacher and dedicated leader with a passion for equitable and inclusive learning environments.

Carrie has collaborated with educators, leaders, and families across Southern California to promote and ensure dis/ability justice, as well as compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. She is an advocate for students, ensuring access for all, driving towards academic, behavioral, and social-emotional achievement. 

Carrie began her career as a Special Education teacher in Washington Heights, NYC. She went on to become a Lead Ed Specialist, Case Manager, and Program Specialist and served as Director of Special Education before joining Aspire. Carrie holds a BA in Modern Literature from SUNY Purchase and a dual Master of Science in General Education and Special Education from Touro College NYC.

In her role as Associate Superintendent of Specialized Education and Inclusive Learning, Carrie works with a team of Principals and leaders to build strong and supportive learning environments that promote equitable outcomes for all students.
