Bertha Muro Mora

Assistant Principal

Bio

I am Bertha Muro Mora, honored to serve as one of the Assistant Principals at AASA for the
2026-2027 academic year. With over a decade in education, my journey began with Teach for
America in Las Vegas, Nevada, where I taught middle school math and elementary grades, later
serving as an instructional coach. I earned my Masters of Education in Curriculum and
Instruction from the University of Nevada Las Vegas before returning to Stockton, my
hometown. I completed my B.A. in Psychology and Spanish at the University of the Pacific.

I completed the National Aspiring Principals Fellowship with New Leaders, focusing on equity
and culturally-responsive instruction, which prepared me to dismantle barriers to student
success. Now in my 9th year with Aspire, I am passionately committed to ensuring every
student receives a high-quality education, irrespective of background. I am eager to collaborate
with this community and celebrate the accomplishments of our scholars.
