Jeff Homan

Jeff Homan joins Aspire after working as a Project Director at TNTP.  While at TNTP, Jeff worked closely with district and school partners to develop and implement academic strategies that improve student performance across schools with an emphasis on making the transition to the Common Core standards. Prior to joining TNTP, Jeff worked at Teach For America in the Bay Area, supporting new teacher coaches and leading teacher development strategy and design for the region.  He also served as the literacy coach at Greenleaf Elementary School in Oakland Unified, where student literacy achievement increased by over 35% in three years.  Jeff began his career as a 2004 Teach For America corps member, teaching third grade in his hometown of Brooklyn, NY.  He holds a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College and a masters in elementary teaching from Pace University.
