Yesenia Trejo

Dean of Instruction

Bio

Yesenia Trejo is a Dean of Instruction and a founding member of Aspire Stockton Secondary Academy in California’s Central Valley.   Mrs. Trejo has been in education since 2007.  She began her educational journey teaching 6th and 7th grade ELA with Aspire Langston Hughes Academy at just a few years of the school’s inception.  During this time, she helped lead the school from approximately 130 students to just under 800 students in a matter of years.  Mrs. Trejo began her leadership career in 2012 as an 8th grade Level Lead.  She went on to become a Humanities Lead Educator then on to an Instructional Coach.  Mrs. Trejo has been serving in the position of Dean of Instruction for her second year now.  She is the Aspire Central Valley’s Latinx Affinity Group Leader and an active member of the Aspire Central Valley Equity Working Group.

Yesenia is a University of the Pacific Graduate.  Her education at UOP was key in becoming a mentor for Aspire Residents as well as having student teachers doing their mandatory student teaching semester long work.  Mrs. Trejo loves working for Aspire, and continues working for Aspire because she firmly believes in Aspire‘s Mission and Vision and continues to creates paths that disrupt racist systems and opportunities for students to be accepted to the university of their choice.
