Sara Ortega

Sara Ortega was born and raised in East Oakland and is very proud of her Oaxaqueña heritage. She has always been very passionate about social justice issues and has used her career in education as a platform to be an advocate for change and address the issues she sees in her community. 

Sara attended Peralta Community College to later transfer to the University of Santa Barbara to major in Political Science. She joined the Aspire team in 2017, since then she has served as an Instructional Aid for SPED, Student Support Manager, and now serving as the Family & Community Partnership Manager. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with loved ones, cook, listen to music, travel, and take trips to the beach.
