Margarita Broussard

First Grade Lead Teacher

Bio

My name is Margarita Broussard. I am the first grade lead teacher at the new Aspire campus in Stockton, Aspire Arts & Sciences Academy.

This is my second year with Aspire Public Schools and I am beyond excited to start this journey. Prior to Aspire, I taught for 8 years in Santa Clara County. I received my BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in Human Development from the California State University of East Bay in 2011. This year, I completed my Master’s in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State University.

My husband, 3-year-old daughter, and I moved from San Jose to Lathrop in 2019. Although we do miss our family and friends back in San Jose, we are settling down and learning our way around our new home nicely.

Children have always been important to me. They are kind, beautiful souls eager to take in the world around them. The school environment is not only a place to learn and grow academically but a place to feel safe nurtured and become a well-rounded child. I believe developing appropriate social and emotional skills in the classroom can positively benefit the learning experience of a student and their peers throughout their academic lives.

Again, I am thrilled to begin the next school year with Aspire and cannot wait to meet all of my new friends in kindergarten!

See you soon,

Margarita Broussard
