Kay Hong

Kay Hong is currently CEO of Proenza Schouler, a luxury fashion brand based in New York. Prior to that, she served as CEO of Torrid Inc., a rapidly- growing specialty apparel retailer for women sizes 10-30. Kay also worked in the Turnaround and Restructuring division of Alvarez & Marsal for over a decade, where she most recently served as Managing Director and a member of its Executive Committee. While at Alvarez & Marsal, Kay specialized in providing C-level interim management for retail companies in distress as well as leading performance improvement initiatives for financially healthy companies. She holds a BS from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Kay is a Bay Area native, and as a K-12 public school attendee and first generation born in the U.S., believes strongly that an outstanding public school education should be available to all.
