Karen is proud to be entering her 10th year as a school leader at Aspire Triumph Technology Academy and is passionate about creating and fostering a school community that cares for the whole child and meets each scholar’s unique academic and social-emotional needs.
Karen started her career in education as a 6th-grade teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Karen has served as a classroom teacher, an intervention specialist, a lead teacher, a mentor teacher, an After School Director, a Dean of Students, and an Assistant Principal prior to her role as Principal.
Karen studied government as an undergraduate at Cornell University and earned her Master of Public Administration from Cornell University. Karen also earned a Master of Arts in Education from Cal State Dominguez Hills and a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from the Reach Institute.
