John Duncan

Born in Los Angeles and raised in the Central Valley, John Duncan is a first-generation African American. During his time in school, he dealt with a lot of racial inequality and wealth disparity. Through experience, he came to understand how difficult school can be with these obstacles. When he began working with Aspire in 2016 his whole perspective of the school changed. He saw the opportunity to replace obstacles with empathy, support, and guidance. He looks forward to continuing this mission and hopefully igniting more flames of passion for education.
