Jeff Palmquist

Associate Superintendent

Bio

Jeff is an Associate Superintendent for Aspire Central Valley and an adjunct instructor at Teachers College of San Joaquin. Jeff entered education as a teacher at San Joaquin County Court and Community Schools in 1997. In 1998, he joined Lodi Unified School District where he remained a teacher and assistant principal until he joined Aspire in 2012. He is a founding teacher of Lodi High’s APPLE Academy (a California Partnership Academy preparing high school students for careers in Education). With the APPLE Academy, he is a recipient of the California School Board Association’s Golden Bell Award.  He has co-authored and directed state and federal grants for Smaller Learning Communities and California Partnership Academy mentoring.

Jeff holds a degree in English from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an M.S. in Education from National University. He is currently working on his Ed.D. in Education Administration with a focus on Adult and Postsecondary Learning at the University of Wyoming (expected completion June 2018).

He is married to his highschool sweetheart, Leah, and they have four children. He is involved in various community service activities including, School Board Member (City Academy/City Impact in San Francisco) and the Lodi Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Commission (City of Lodi). He is a distance runner and fitness enthusiast. As well, he plays video games and collects watches.
