Aspire East Memphis Ribbon Cutting

Aspire East Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in Memphis

It was a red carpet occasion! With families, friends, community partners, and supporters presented, we celebrated the official ribbon cutting for Aspire East on Winchester Road in Memphis. What was once a furniture store is now an incredible school facility for our deserving scholars. Dr. Nick Manning, Assistant Superintendent of Aspire Memphis, served as the Master of Ceremony, and attendees enjoyed a beautiful interpretive dance routine and song performance. Ms. Latoya Robinson, an Aspire East parent, spoke movingly about the power of a high-performing school community. Aspire CEO Carolyn Hack shared stories from the very beginning of the renovation project, and Principal Monique Cincore closed out the event with deep thanks to everyone who helped make this school possible. At the end, everyone filed outside for the official ribbon cutting, and the Aspire East students could hardly contain their excitement as a drone flew overhead to capture photos! In a final act of fanfare, the leadership team revealed an incredible surprise banner to hang in the school featuring “Founding Families” of Aspire East.

Aspire East is one of four Aspire schools in Memphis, and we plan to serve more students by growing to eight schools in the years to come.
