Aspire Pacific Scholars Shine in BMO Thrive Academy Program
We’re excited to highlight two outstanding Aspire Pacific Academy senior scholars, Evelin Jimenez Godinez and Magaly Isaza, who recently participated in the Thrive Scholars program this summer!
Evelin Jimenez Godinez
Evelin, a senior student committee secretary, balances her time working at Burger King and Five Guys and volunteering at “We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym.” After Thrive, she’s set on becoming an FBI agent, with plans to study criminology at UCI or law at USC.
Magaly Isaza
As senior committee president, Magaly leads with heart! She started a math tutoring club for middle schoolers, joined Aspire Los Angeles’ Math Field Day, and has participated in the LAunch Program at CSULA and the Youth Mental Health Academy Program. Her plans? A degree in Industrial Engineering at USC!
What is the Thrive Scholars Program?
Thrive Scholars, with the support of BMO, prepares high-achieving, low-income students of color for college and career success. Through the BMO Thrive Academy, students attend a rigorous Summer Academy, taking college-level calculus and writing courses, followed by career development support throughout college. The program ensures scholars like Evelin and Magaly are equipped to excel academically and professionally.
We’re so proud of their achievements!
